In each subsequent renewal period sales associates must complete 8-hours of specialty continuing education, 3-hours of Florida Law Core and 3-hour of Ethics and Business Practices.

California Lawyer/Attorney

Florida State Requirement Details for Lawyer/Attorney in Continuing Education

(a) Applicability. Every member except those exempt under rule 6-10.3(c)(4) and (5) shall comply and report compliance with the continuing legal education requirement.

(b) Minimum Hourly Continuing Legal Education Requirements. Each member shall complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of approved continuing legal education activity every 3 years. Five of the 30 hours must be in approved legal ethics, professionalism, substance abuse, or mental illness awareness programs. Courses offering credit in professionalism must be approved by the center for professionalism. These 5 hours are to be included in, and not in addition to, the regular 30-hour requirement. If a member completes more than 30 hours during any reporting cycle, the excess credits cannot be carried over to the next reporting cycle.

Florida Appraiser

Florida State Requirement Details for Appraiser in Continuing Education

Registered Trainee, Licensed, and Certified Appraisers must complete 30 hours of continuing education.  The 30 hours shall include the 7-hour National Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) update course or its equivalent and shall be taught by an Appraisal Qualifications Board (AQB) certified USPAP instructor, without significant duplication of material. A minimum of 3 hours shall be dedicated to a review and update of the Florida Real Estate Appraisal Law and Board Rules, and provide an introduction to other state and federal laws affecting real estate appraisals, and shall contain at least three (3) hours reviewing and updating the roles and rules of supervisor and trainee appraisers.
